Let the Good Times Roll!

This last Saturday, I went out to lunch with the ladies from the writing group, SCRAWL. That almost sounds like an alternative rock band, but really, they're the nicest ladies on the planet. I love getting together with them. They make me feel uplifted and like, yeah, I am somebody pretty cool. I need that from time to time (okay, like, all the time) After lunch we talked for a while about editing, and I probably bored them all to tears saying things they already knew, but they were gracious about it.

Every single person in this group is immensely talented and I know we're going to see them all in print one day. That's my little prediction right there for ya.

But now I have a deep question. Why do I always tip my head to the side when someone points a camera at me? Is this my attempt at being coy and mysterious, or do I have self-esteem issues with my neck? Something to contemplate . . .

AAAAAAAAAAA... my writer's group went to lunch with you without me. :) And what a turn out--they must love you! (the other photos of author lunches didn't have nearly as many show up. tehehhe--just helping that feel good thing i guess) Sorry i missed out, but i guess i had good enough reasons, living out of state n'all. :) Thanks for humoring us anyways. LOVE YOU!!

Nothing better than lunch with the gals...unless they're also writers! How fun! And I think you look darling with your head slightly tilted like that. :)

Funny, my mom does that neck-tilt thing too. We've never quite figured it out.

No worries about any of us being bored! We were all thrilled to get the chance to visit with and learn from you! We've been blathering all about how cool we must be because Tristi likes us!! You are awesome, and we all appreciate you way more than you know!

Tristi,
About the head tilt thing ... it's cute. Much better than a straight ol' head stuck on a straight ol' neck. (And professional phototgraphers will agree:)

Tilted head sure beats the straight on deer in the headlights look that I'm so good at.

Fun times! I wish I were there...

Hey- tell me- the gal in the front, kneeling down, in the red jacket...what's her name? I've been wanting to get back in contact with her. I think I almost talked her into becoming a blogger. Hook me up, Tristi!

and SCRAWL is a great name. way better than women who write in boxer shorts who live in the mid west for this time in their lives whil they are pondering their writing outlet craft for all the world to see. see? yours has a way better ring to it than mine. hehehe

kathleen :)
