I loved Hope Was Here! And one of the highlights of my writing career was sitting next to Joan Bauer for our booksignings at a Houston SCBWI conference. Well, at least SHE was signing books for her long line of fans. I just chatted with her, and said a prayer of rejoice when probably the one and only LDS lady at the conference bought 3 of my books and had me sign them. :)
