Having Lunch with Friends
This last Saturday, I had the most fun. A group of writer friends from Tooele came over to see me, and we met at Mimi's. We talked about writing, plots, promotion -- it was great. Left to right: Karen, Michelle, Noble (isn't he cute?) me and Marcy. Shanna was taking the picture.
It's so much fun to get together, gain strength from each other, draw on the positive vibes that flow whenever a group of like-minded people meet with the purpose of helping each other. We often say that writing is a solitary profession, and it is -- it's just you and your computer, most of the time. Whenever you can get the chance to break away and share with friends, take it!

Dang that loks like fun! You got to hang with Karen??? and Shanna? ~Sniff sniff~ This is definately a case of I wish I was there!
Hi Tristi - looks like you had a fun day! I took some writing classes at The Loft in Minneapolis a few years ago. It's amazing what interaction and support does for a (would-be) writer.
I liked your husband's comments on your FAQ post - he sounds like a keeper. Throw in Kitty Rescuer, and he's definitely a gem!!
I want to hear more about your life in florals...
Hey Jules -- yep, we had a great time.
Kris -- I will definitely be hanging on to that man of mine! And as far as the floral thing goes, I worked in a floral shop for about a year and a half before I got married and I still occasionally do a small wedding here and there. I still dream sometimes of owning my own floral shop.
Tristi,
It was soo much fun. And don't worry Julie we'll be asking you too!
I really believe the interactions with other writers helps me keep going when I would have given up long ago. I need you guys!
Shanna --
That's why I love the writers conference so much. I come home from that weekend ready to take on the world!
That's way cool. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.
Interaction with other writers is great, though difficult to find in many areas. The Storymakers Conference was such a boost for me.
It looks like you had fun!
I am so jealous.
