Rockingest Book Signing Ever

September 11th, 2010
12:00 - 4:00 pm
Eborn Books
Provo Towne Center, Upper Level, just outside Dillard's

With these authors ...

Daron D. Fraley

David J. West

Tristi Pinkston

To promote these books ...

There will be some of these ...

And some of these ...

But, I'm sorry to say, you will not win this ...

Or this.

However, you will have a great deal of this ...

And this ...

Now, here is the best part.

As one of my blog readers, you are eligible for a special prize.  Come to the signing, tell us you heard all about it on my blog (or Facebook, or Twitter) and you can enter for a prize drawing not available to just the average person.  That's right - you are far above average, so why should you settle for an average prize? Each of the three authors are donating something to go in the basket, and while I'm not entirely sure what it will contain at this exact moment, it will be very cool indeed. And yes, you must be present to win.

So come on down!  Spread the word!  Bring a friend!  Eat a cookie! Hang out with us!  And then go rub it in the faces of people who weren't able to come.

I SO wish I could come! Why don't you ever have big group signings in Ogden? It's such a nice town with lots of people who read!

What a fun idea! And an EXCELLENT group of authors. Woot! I won't be able to be there, bummer for me, but I hope it's a rockin' success!

Wow, pictures really are worth a thousand words! Especially the shot of the choco chip cookies. Fabulous.

Have fun. Sorry I'm so far away...

Oh. My. Gosh. I just noticed your sidebar goal of seeing all the Cary Grant movies. I want this goal. I must have it. Can I steal it from you?

And tips, please, on how you are accomplishing such a great feat?

Thanks for wanting to come, those of you who can't! That's a lot better than, "Oh, well, can't come, won't be missing much." :)

Valerie, you can definitely borrow my project. I haven't been working on it very diligently - I got caught up in Monk, Gilmore Girls, and Psych, but I do need to get back to it. I'm using Netflix to get the films. I have seen all the Fred and Ginger movies, but there were only ten of those, so that's not nearly the same type of project. :)

Melissa,

Ogden is a very nice town! And I'd have no problem at all coming there. We'd just need someone local to help us set things up. If someone ... oh, I don't know ... someone who wanted us to come there, whose name maybe started with an M, were to help us set it up, I think we'd be more than happy.

That looks like a lot of fun!!! I'm totally bummed I won't be able to come. If you ever want to do something in Bountiful, give me a holler. I'd be happy to help set something up here too.

Tristi Pinkston said...

RaShelle,

That sounds awesome! Let's definitely plan on it.

Everyone, if you're in Utah and would like us to come to your area, and can help hook us up with the "right" people, just let us know. We have pens, will travel.

Now the question is do you think a goal to see all the Cary Grant movies could be a Personal Progress goal? I know it'll be way more than ten hours even though I've already seen several of them--so it could be one of my projects...but in which area? (I'm working on P.P. with my Laurels.)

Tristi Pinkston said...

I don't see why not, Valerie. Just find a way to tie them in to the values, and you're good to go! To Catch a Thief could be Choice and Accountability, for instance.

you guys should totally come to colorado too! we only have one db but hey one is better than none. it's a thought anyway! I totally wish I could be there, I would be laughing my head off having the time of my life with you all, and you make everything look sooo much darn fun! Some times I wish I could grab Utah and just yank it in half so it wasn't 8 hours to get there! =0)
I know it will be a smashing success, how could it not with you all there! =0)
love love love you!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. Funny story -- I came here to see who you are, and I see you are doing a book signing with Elder Fraley, who was in the same district as I in the MTC! Go figure. I dropped him a line to say hi. Small world, it is!

Tristi Pinkston said...

Holy cow, that is really wild, Shelli!

I sure hope I can come. We have a zoo trip planned that morning, but we're supposed to back by 2 (BYU game starts then), which gives me two hours when I should be able to come. Well, I hope to see you!
