End of BIAM Day 5. Are We Ready for Six?

Well, this is what I get for not posting the daily wrap-up until 10:45 at night. A lot of you have already checked in and I wasn't ready for you! Thanks for leaving your comments wherever you found room.

Now I didn't get this posted until right now because it's taken me this long to get anything written today. It's the aforementioned brain-not-working thing. But I did manage 1,281 words in the last 45 minutes, not that I'm sure they're any good, but I'm pretty sure they don't reek. That's good, isn't it?

Okay -- an assignment for tomorrow. I loved LeeAnn's comment the other day where she named her internal editor "Esmeralda." A couple of you have commented on how much you liked it, too. So, for tomorrow, everyone come up with a name for your internal editor. I choose "Edith." You don't have to post your name, you're just going to use it to tell your editor to go back to bed when he/she starts interfering too much.

Good night, everyone, and keep up the good work.

**One more thing, by the way -- some of you BIAM members don't have public profiles and some of you don't link back to your blogs. I can't come visit your blog if I don't know where you originated from! For those of you to whom I speak, and you know who you are, if you would like me to pay a return visit to your blog, and who knows, I might like it and visit it regularly and put it on my blog list, please drop a comment and tell me where you might be found.**

Sadly, I got no writing done today which means I will have to double, actually triple up tomorrow. Ouch 12,000 words, is that even possible. I shall give it a go.

Wow, Candace -- that sounds painful. Don't hurt yourself!

Let's see -- at my best, I can do 1,000 in half an hour. So that would be around six hours to to 12,000. Yikes! I say give yourself a break.

I noticed that your internal editors have girl names. I'd better say mine is Bob or Joe or Jake . . . I know . . . Jehosiphat. He's my editor, I get to say how it's spelled. I didn't officially annouce it, well, kind of, on my blog, but I'm a late comer which means I can compare what all of you have done and do better . . . Neehaa ha.
Good job all of you.

I'M DONE!!! Okay, I'm only done editing my audio book, not writing my new one, but it felt great to say I was done with something!

I cut over 12,000 words yesterday to get down to the required word count. I even had a whole word to spare -- yes I actually cut one more word than I had to.

I only managed to write 125 words on my new project, but luckily it's in the same series as the one I just condensed. It was kind of fun reading about some of the same characters.

As for my blog address, if it doesn't already show up for you, it's www.traciabramson.blogspot.com.

Happy writing everyone!

Hey Keith!!

Traci,

That is fabulous!!

Welcome, Keith.

Having four sisters, two daughters, and no brothers or sons, my Y chromosome gets tired of being the only one around. It's good to have you on board.

Got ALOT done today while the kids napped - 1979 words! I'm so proud of myself! Can't wait to get started again on Monday.

Okay, I just have to ask this. Do most of you write on Sundays, or do you take the day off?

OK - I've come up with a name for my internal editor. Ponopono, which means (among other things) correct, revise, work carefully and neatly.

I like it, Don. Is it Hawaiian?

Good job my fellow BIAM participants. I'm very impressed with your progress. :) Wow Traci- Awesome!!

Yesterday I went scrapbook shopping and enjoyed a date with my husband in the evening. Today I drowned myself in paper and trinkets while scrapbooking with a good friend. No writing done yesterday. As for my writing status today {Saturday-Sept. 15} I'm clicking over to Microsoft Word in 3 seconds...2 seconds... 1......k, bye!...

Oh- one more thought:
I'm up for this same challenge in January you announced Tristi.
{Most likely it will be this SAME novel! hehe}

Weekend report:
35 minutes
1183 words
5774 total

Tristi,

Yes, Ponopono is Hawaiian. I've also given my muse a Hawaiian name - Kumu Ka'ao, which translates roughly to Story Coach.

My story is set in Hawaii, so I thought it was only appropriate. Plus, Hawaiian names are just cool.

Ok- last night I was able to write
496 words. :)

I take Sunday's off from writing as well...so I will get going on Monday. I look forward to keeping up with all of you fellow BIAM participants. Happy writing and good luck with week 2!
