A Neurotic Mormon

Must not work on Sunday . . . Must not work on Sunday . . . Must not . . . Phew! It's 12:05 am, Monday morning. I made it. And do not be fooled by the timestamp on this blog -- I never have been able to get it set right.

Yes, I've been sitting here, hovering over the computer, waiting for the clock to change before opening up Word. Am I warped or what -- either just open the dang document or go to bed! But no -- the guilt would consume me. So I've been reading blogs, leaving a comment here and there, did a Meme -- but it wasn't work! I promise!

So what's your perspective on writing on Sundays Tristi? Because you're published now and it's 'work' (more officially) you don't do it?

My hubby and I were just talking about this yesterday (we are both wannabes) and we get such pleasure from writing that we WANT to write on Sundays.

But should we not?

Tristi,

You're not warped . . . much. :)

Ali,

This is a personal decision for everyone. I choose not to write on Sunday because I'm hoping to get paid for it (chuckle, big guffaw) and I've made a choice not to do things for money on Sunday. I do check my e-mail and I try to find uplifting blogs, but I don't write the blogs I get paid for and I don't write books on Sunday.

If I've gotten a really good idea and I know I'll forget it, I will jot down some keywords so I don't lose them, but that's the extent of my Sunday writing.

I know that I've been blessed with better writing ability as I've tried to keep to this, but it's a really hard thing for me to do. You can tell I struggle for that clock to turn over at midnight -- I'm addicted to writing and waiting is just really difficult for me.

But this is not to tell you what you should do. You should make your own decision and do what you feel best about.

Oh, Rebecca, if only you knew how warped I really am . . . :)

Tristi, I think the timestamp is beyond your control. It's Pacific time, and probably Blogger is based somewhere in California. So stop worrying.
