Laura Brotherson also has an excellent point of view. Gary and Joy Lundburg had some enlightening things to say as well.Pam Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17101099770476255954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31281717.post-18163815233291922122015-05-26T05:14:59.312-07:002015-05-26T05:14:59.312-07:00This is so well-said, thank you for this post! It seems like every outlet has some kind of an underlying agenda, and the overwhelming majority of networks have an agenda that I don't particularly agree with. Not only that, but so many people seem to no longer think for themselves and look to the media (or even worse, celebrities) to tell them how to think. Not everyone is like this, of course, but I see it happen far more often than I would like!

As far as Josh Duggar is concerned, I have never watched the family's show and I don't have anything to say for or against them. Like you, I can't comment on how the issue with his molestation was handled, but what I find disturbing is the amount of glee people seem to have, one, that he screwed up, and two, that the Duggars are taking a fall for this. Not only is it evident in the slant of many headlines/articles on the subject, but it is even worse when you read the comments on said articles. Maybe it's always been like this and due to "human nature" a lot of people have had this kind of reaction to such events, and now it's just that the Internet and social media shove it in our face every minute of every day, not to mention that the Internet gives people a forum to post what they think with some sense of anonymity (or at the very least some "safety" behind their computer screens). I don't know. But it deeply saddens me to see such hatred and vitriol - not just with this story, but with so many, many stories out there. It has certainly given me something else to ponder in prayer.

I didn't mean to go into such a long comment on your post, but I wanted you to know how much I appreciated it - you stated all of your points so well!Melissa O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13068354108178290445noreply@blogger.com
